Our children’s ministry seeks to join with families in the life-changing work of encouraging children as they grow in their knowledge and faith. We strive to provide a place where children can explore God’s world, ask questions, express their faith, and feel loved. Our ministry works to create a warm and inviting place for children, so that they can grow in their understanding of God and develop a personal faith that will last a lifetime.
Sunday School classes for children meet on the third floor of the Education Wing beginning at 9:30am each Sunday. Classes are divided by grade (1st-2nd and 3rd-5th), and are instructed by a regular rotation of caring teachers and parents. If you are interested in finding a class for your child, please see a greeter at the entrance to the Rotunda.
*Children’s Handbells meets on Tuesday afternoons in the Gym after school. Laurens Elementary and E.B. Morse students are picked up in the church mini-bus from school. After snacks and a brief fellowship time, students begin handbell practice. Participating in this ministry is a fantastic way to learn teamwork and music fundamentals. For more information on Children’s Handbells take a look at our Music Ministry page.
*Children’s Choir begins at 5:45 on Wednesday evenings. Your child will learn basics of music including movement, instruments, singing skills, scripture, Bible stories and music fundamentals. The yearly Children’s Musical is the highlight of the year for our Children’s choir—and a treat for parents and church members alike! For more information on Choir opportunities for Children, take a look at our Music Ministry page.
*Kids on Mission meets on Wednesday nights following Children’s Choir. The classes also meet on the third floor of the Education Wing and are similarly divided by grade into two classes. Our missions curriculum and devoted teachers help students learn that they can share Jesus, just as they hear about people who spread the gospel all over the world!
*These programs are offered September-April and will not meet during Summer unless otherwise noted.
