This Fall we will offer two unique midweek study opportunities. One will be in person during the day and the other will be offered online at night. Both studies will begin Wednesday, September 23rd and will last 9 weeks ending Wednesday, November 18th.
Exodus: On the Move with God, Older Adult Study, 10:30-11:30am, The Sanctuary: Join us as we study selected passages from the book of Exodus as we learn from the life of Moses and the story of the Israelites both in Egypt and in the Wilderness. This study is aimed at our older adult population and will meet in the Sanctuary. This study will parallel worship this Fall where we will also be looking at the Exodus account. We will spread out so that we can socially distance. You are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. Rickey will lead the study and Adair will join us from time to time to offer special music.
Ecclesiastes: Chasing After Meaning, Virtual Mixed Adult Study, 7-8pm: The book of Ecclesiastes tackles one of life’s biggest questions: What is the meaning of life? Commonly considered the work of King Solomon, Ecclesiastes is a rich collection of profound insights that are poetic, philosophical, and practical. This study will examine the big ideas in Ecclesiastes, explore challenging concepts, and share how to be truly satisfied. Tommy Cox will lead this virtual study. Being a virtual study, you will need to sign up by contacting the church office or tommy@fbclaurens.org and provide us with your email address. Questions? Contact Tommy.
Attention Men! Our Men’s Groups will resume on Sunday, September 27. We will begin our year with a study on the book of James. In an effort to offer meeting options during our current health crisis, we will be offering two meeting formats at this time. Our Sunday night group will meet “in-person” at 6:00pm (beginning September 27; location TBA). We will also offer a virtual meeting time on Tuesday mornings at 7:00am (beginning September 29). For more information, please contact Tommy at the church office or at tommy@fbclaurens.org. This is a great opportunity to get involved with our Men’s Studies, so make plans now to join us!
