The Lord’s Prayer– Are there times when your prayer life feels stagnant, like you’re saying the same things to God that you did when you first started praying? Just as young children learn to communicate in more and more complex ways, so we should move from simply crying out to God to a mature, developed prayer life. This 8-week study will explore the basic elements found in the Lord’s Prayer, which serves as a helpful guide to those hoping to enrich their personal prayer life. Tommy will lead this study each week at 6:00pm in the Conference Room.
The Life of Jeremiah: Join us as we rediscover the story of one of the most important Old Testament figures. Our text will be the Book of Jeremiah but rather than focusing on all of the book we will center our discussions on the sections that teach us about the person who was Jeremiah and what it is that we learn from his story. We will meet in Bobo Hall with Rickey leading the group.
Beginning Sunday, January 13, 2019
Surprised by Joy: We know the name CS Lewis but what do we know about him? Join us as we reading his spiritual memoir and learn about the person behind his great books such as Mere Christianity, The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe and The Screwtape Letters. Perhaps no one has shaped Christianity in the Western World more than CS Lewis in the last 100 years. But, what was his own faith and life like? Join us as we learn together. David Corley, Phillip Dean, John Topping and Rickey Letson will lead. Books will be available from the church office or on the first night of the study.
