Mission Statement

The mission of Laurens First Baptist Church Kindergarten is to provide a Christian environment that focuses on the developmental progress of each unique child and encourages discovery in a classroom rich with play, language, math and science concepts.

Curriculum Goals

We strive to help each child grow spiritually, mentally, socially, physically and emotionally in a caring Christian environment. Teachers use a variety of resources for lesson planning that are designed to be appropriate for the age level being taught. Children are encouraged to interact with the classroom environment through home living, blocks, art, music, language, math, science and manipulatives. Our staff works hard to make sure that the foundations are in place to give children skills needed as more challenging and difficult work presents itself. Specific goals for each age are included with registration forms.

Weekly Activities

Mondays:

Chapel

Led by the ministerial staff, is a central aspect of spiritual development for children. Through an engaging Bible lesson and music that are relevant to their daily lives, the children can deepen their understanding of faith and morals while fostering spiritual growth.

Wednesdays:

Music

These classes provide a holistic approach to music education, incorporating both technical aspects and creative expression. By incorporating songs that correspond with Bible verses, children  learn musical skills while enriching  spiritual development.

Fridays:

PE

Children like to move! In PE, we focus on large motor skills, balance, and coordination through games, exercises and challenges that promote active participation. Children will explore and refine their physical abilities in a supportive environment.

Registration

All classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis. As classes are filled, a waiting list will be formed. Registration for the following school year opens on February 1.
