Senior Adults Ministry

Our senior adults, who have been given the name CWA (Comfortable With Age), meet monthly for a time of fellowship. Each month they have lunch together and enjoy a speaker or an entertainer. The senior adults take several day trips each season, maybe to pick apples or to visit a museum. In addition to day trips, this group takes several one or two-night trips to conferences, retreats or to special destinations.

A Sampling of Senior Adult Events

  • Monthly CWA Lunch Meeting

    On the 4th Tuesday of each month, we gather together for a time of fellowship, an interesting program, and a delicious catered lunch.


  • Senior Adult Jubilee

    Each fall (typlically late September) we travel to Gatlainburg, TN for a weekend full of singing, laughing and preaching.

  • Live Theater Performances

    Join us on one of our frequent outings for a live performance including concerts, musicals and plays. We've been to Flat Rock, Pelzer and Anderson. We don't have to travel far to experience talent!

  • Seasonal Day Trips

    We plan various day trips to take advantage of the local resources in and around Laurens by going to pick apples, peaches and strawberries!
