The Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund

The First Baptist Church Laurens Endowment Fund is a permanent fund established so that the Christian values and legacy of our members can live on and further God’s work through our church for generations to come.

Make A Difference

Gifts to the Endowment are Enduring...

An Endowment Fund is like a perennial spring. It never runs dry. The income the fund generates is used to meet the purposes of the endowment. For example, let’s say you contribute an undesignated gift to the Fund that can be used for mission projects or church ministries. Once established, the endowment will generate earnings to make annual distributions. Years from now, participants in mission projects or church ministries will continue to benefit from your prudent planning and generosity.

The FBCL Endowment Fund will continue to touch the lives of many and further Christ’s work in our church, our community and around the world. Projects made possible by the Endowment include improvements to our buildings and grounds, missions, ministries, and more.

“Your faithfulness continues through all generations…”

Psalm 119:90

About the Fund

The Fund, created in 2023, is managed by our Investment Committee, whose members are approved by the Deacon Council.

The Committee’s goal is to carefully administer the Endowment to ensure the preservation and growth of funds. Funds are generated from gifts made through such avenues as wills, life insurance, real estate or outright donations. The principal from these gifts is invested and earnings from the Fund are used to strengthen and expand the missions and ministries of the church and also address special capital needs which cannot be managed through our annual operating budget. The Fund is totally separate from the church’s annual operating budget.

The First Baptist Church Laurens Endowment Fund provides our members with the opportunity to make enduring gifts that will realize endless returns while experiencing the blessings that come through faithful Christian stewardship.
