Student Ministry

In 2015, our Student Ministry took on the name "Diverge Students." Using Hebrews 10:23-25 as our guide, we seek to encourage 6th-12th graders to grow in their faith, claim it as their own, and put into practice in their lives, church, and communities. Whether worshipping together, praying for each other, serving our community, or hanging out after a football game, Diverge Student Ministry exists to remind students who God is, what He's done for us through Jesus, and how those truths should change our lives.

Student Ministry School Year Activities

Meet Us at The Flag 9:30am // Grades 6 - 12 // Sunday School

Our student ministry meets downstairs in our Family Life Center. Look for the Diverge Students Flag to know which door to enter, then walk downstairs and hang a right to be in our Student Ministry Room. We're pretty sure you'll hear us before you see us.

Sunday 9:30-10:20am // Grades 6 - 12 // Sunday School

Our Middle and High School Sunday School classes gather together at 9:30 in our Student Ministry Room and then split up for a smaller group experience. Sunday School is a great opportunity to explore core spiritual truths to develop and amplify a vibrant faith that lasts!

Sunday 5-6:30pm // Grades 6 - 12 // Student Music Sundays

Student Music Sundays offer students the opportunity to develop musical skills, lead in worship, and have a whole lot of fun through handbell and vocal choirs. Whether you've never seen an instrument you can't play or never found a tune you can stick to, you can make a joyful noise to our Lord and Savior.

Middle School Handbells - 5:00

High School Handbells - 5:30

Sunday 6:30-8pm // Grades 6 - 12 // Sunday Nights Alive

Sunday nights our students gather to worship, pray, and enjoy time with each other! Starting at 6:30 with supper and open gym time, we'll then move into a time of worship, teaching, and prayer at 7. Get ready for the week ahead by renewing your spirit on Sunday Nights!

Wednesday 6-7pm // Grades 6 - 12 // LATHER Up

Developing the habit of spending time in God's word is crucial for growing and strengthening faith. This year, our students are joining the adults of FBC in Our Daily S.O.A.P. Challenge, with a twist. Students will meet on Wednesday nights (or the best time of the week for those who can drive) in small groups to discuss what they've read and how to apply it to their lives. Groups kick off with our Kick Off Slip and Slide on August 14th! Join us and LATHER Up this year!
